The Southern part of Kashmir which includes the Districts of Shopian, Kulgam, Pulwama and Islamabad (anantnag) is yet again seeing a surge in the numbers of youth joining Militancy.
Political commentators believe that the lack of Political ventures and the shrinking space for Political dissent is one of the major reasons for youth picking up arms again like early 90s.
The Kashmiriyat has been constantly reporting the cases of youth joining Militancy from the Southern Kashmir districts.
As reported earlier a Youth, Zubair from Dehruna Islamabad district who was an M.Phil holder has also joined Militancy.
The Latest one to join Militant ranks is from Panzoor area in Tral Sub District of South Kashmir's Pulwama.
The Youth has been identified as Mohammed Fayaz, 23 years old and has reportedly joined Jaish e Muhammad.
The group has gained prominence in Kashmir post the attack on District Police Lines in Pulwama on January 01 this year.
Many Kashmiri youth have been joining the Militant outfit, especially down in Southern part of Kashmir.
The Police officials however said that they are confirming the authenticity of the photo of Fayaz holding a gun which has been doing rounds on Social Networking.
